NYC IS VERY MUCH ALIVE: SPEND AN AFTERNOON INDULGING IN THE LUXURY OF A MUSEUM OR GALLERY.

Museums are open again and that is certainly something to celebrate. Whether to aimlessly wander or with your sights set on a specific new gallery, there is nothing like being able to escape into a museum. With new social distancing protocols, your favorite museum just might feel more intimate now than ever before. Take advantage of this little win and safely explore some New York exhibitions on view now. If you are lucky enough to live in NYC, we curated a few options for you below. If an in-person visit isn’t for you, most museums are offering exhibitions for online viewing. Whatever you choose, don’t miss out on these current and upcoming New York exhibitions.

BROOKLYN MUSEUM:

 

Design 1880 to Now is currently on view. This New York exhibition includes over 30,000 objects and examines cultural appropriation.

 

Also check out the Brooklyn Museum’s fully online exhibition The Queen and The Crown: A Virtual Exhibition of Costumes from “The Queen’s Gambit” and “The Crown” on view until December 13th.  

 

MOMA:

THE MET:

 

The MET is currently showing About Time: Fashion and Duration through February 7th. The exhibit compares 60 pairs of past and present designs with an emphasis on sustainability. Read more on the exhibit here.
