This custom design story begins with an inquiry from another bespoke design, the Oath Energy Band engagement ring, that combined two existing designs. Our client came in for an appointment wanting something striking and unconventional but with a classic silhouette. Our Shield bezel setting was a starting point, with sculptural design details, a discreet baguette diamond halo and infinite customization possibilities. She chose a yellow diamond for the center stone and we decided to use onyx to make it a bolder look than the traditional bezel setting. DESIGN INSPIRATION

Our client inquired about another bespoke engagement ring, our East West Emerald Cut Oath Energy Band Engagement Ring. This design combined two designs, our Energy Band and Oath engagement ring. 

These two rings inspired the East West Emerald Cut Oath Energy Band engagement ring.

SETTING CUSTOMIZATIONS

We combined our Shield east west emerald cut engagement ring with scattered baguette design details from the Energy Band design. There were so many design details to choose from - the center stone could have been set traditionally, the band could have been wider or thinner, and the onyx could have been replaced with gold. Deciding on the final design was a bit like putting together a puzzle with each piece combining to create the ring of our client's dreams. The design that she chose is so special and creates an instant heirloom.

THE FINAL PIECE

This engagement ring is striking and unconventional while still feeling entirely timeless. The onyx frame around the east west emerald cut yellow diamond gives it a modern Art Deco feel.
