A FEW TYPES OF SAPPHIRE
MOST NOTABLE SAPPHIRES
PRINCESS DIANA & KATE MIDDLETON'S ENGAGEMENT RING
This iconic ring holds a 12 carat Ceylon sapphire framed by 14 solitaire diamonds. Diana picked out her own engagement ring which was made by the royal jeweler of the time, Garrard. Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with the same ring, keeping the life of this very famous sapphire in the family.
THE LOGAN SAPPHIRE
This 423 carat sapphire was mined in Sri Lanka. It now resides in the Smithsonian Museum and holds the title of the heaviest mounted gem in the National Gem Collection.
THE STAR OF ADAM
This incredible sapphire is the largest star sapphire in the world at 1,404.49 carats. It was discovered in Sri Lanka in 2016 and is estimated to be worth about $100 million.
BISMARCK SAPPHIRE NECKLACE

This 62.02 carat Myanmar sapphire signed by Tiffany belonged to John D. Rockefeller from 1934 - 1971. It was last sold by Christie's in 2001 for over 3 million USD.
