In a literal sense, our new Ripple collection is inspired by the visual effect of ripples— a pebble being tossed into the ocean, a raindrop landing in a puddle— it all creates the oscillating effect of waves radiating outward from an innermost point of impact.
Applying this to our own lives, we think of the ripple effect beginning with our actions and the impact that those actions have on our surroundings— so often more than we realize. There is so much beauty in realizing that just one good deed or small gesture of kindness has the potential to create a ripple-like effect of positivity. It’s usually easy to see the immediate effects that our actions have but thinking about just how many people and lives we can impact with even the smallest of actions puts everything into perspective. A smile, a kind gesture, going out of your way to hold the door open for someone, it all adds up and sends good vibes onward and upward.
Our Ripple collection features a range of ripple effects including micro-ripples, multi-ripples and varying wave and shape styles. The repetition of shapes and form adds a meditative quality to the design process, knowing that one continuously comes after the other.
While working on this collection, designer Lauren Sehner said, "I love that the spontaneity of ripples creates an element of surprise in an otherwise orderly design process. The design is dictated to wherever the stone is placed. You just have to surrender to what happens next…”
